Outlying Anesthesia Rotation

Also known as NORA (non-operating room anesthesia) this rotation takes place at the Medical Center. The resident on this service will provide anesthesia services throughout the hospital (i.e. not in the Operating Room). Types of cases on both pediatrics and adults include imaging studies such as CT, MRI/MRA, and diagnostic radiology; interventional radiology, including cerebral coilings, proton therapy, TIPS procedures and similar; GI procedures including ERCP, EGD; other interventional procedures such as intrathecal chemotherapy, bronchoscopy, bone marrow procedures; and many other non-OR cases.
