Where are you located?

We are located in the Inland Empire of Southern California, at the intersection of the I-10 and I-215, halfway between Los Angeles and Palm Springs, CA. Our location makes it an ideal springboard for various Southern California attractions and activities. See a photo gallery of interesting places near us.

Do you take only LLU students into the program?

No. While it is somewhat common to all programs that their own medical school is more heavily represented, in fact, most of the residents in our program are not from Loma Linda. In the March 2013 match our program matched 4 students from LLU and 10 from other schools.

How many applications do you receive per season?

Around 500

How many applicants do you interview?

Between 150-170

Do you offer web-based interviews?

Yes, last year we conducted 45 interviews via FaceTime or Skype

Do you offer advanced (CA-1) positions?

No, we are a fully categorical program.

Do you accept COMLEX scores?

No, we require USMLE scores

Are there opportunities for international rotations?

Yes, our residents have the opportunity to travel to places such as India, Africa, and Fiji with a member of our faculty or with the Global Health Institute.

What is your pass rate for CA-3s on the licensure exam?

It varies - generally 95-100% in any given year.

Do graduates generally go into private practice or academics?

Again, it varies from year to year, but over the past several years it has been about even.
